Solis Trust recently became the first organisation in Ireland to be awarded the EQUASS Assurance Award.

Solis Trust are delighted to have fulfilled all of the requirements of the assurance certificate and as a result, underline the quality and outstanding level of our services. Our key focus now will be to guarantee service users quality and continuous improvement in our services.
The award was presented by the minister for Social and Family Affairs, Mary Hanafin, at the annual EIQA Awards ceremony in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin.
Solis Trust were also awarded the Q mark for the second year running, and were the winners of the overall award in the Health and Social Services category.

The Solis Trust honoured with ‘Best Newcomer’ award
In March of this year, The Solis Trust were awarded with the ‘Q Mark’, a recognition of their quality in providing residential care services to young people. They were subsequently nominated for and won the prestigious ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the European Foundation for Quality Management ceremony at Dublin’s Citywest Hotel in September. Director Bernadette Manning attended the awards with a number of other managers and staff members, and were presented with the award, which acknowledged The Solis Trust’s tried and tested model of care, excellent human resources department and state-of-the-art IT system. A new residential care facility, based in Co. Wicklow, is also due to open in early December 2008, which will (in appropriate cases) incorporate the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to improve the lives of young people. Dr. Rita Honan from the Department of Psychology in Trinity College (a nationally- and internationally-recognised expert in this field) will be supporting this behaviour management methodology.
